The most important skills to take you through life are often not learned in a classroom, but rather through good advice. That’s the idea behind our national partnership with 100 Black Men of America, Inc. that we announced in 2014. The partnership supports the 100 Organization’s Collegiate 100 (C100) by utilizing our employees’ expertise to help prepare today’s civic-minded college students for ongoing success.
Across its network of more than 100 national and international chapters, the Organization’s signature Mentoring the 100 Way Across a LifetimeSM and C100 programs positively impact the lives of tomorrow’s leaders. Chapters deliver unique, innovative mentoring initiatives that are locally relevant and change the lives of tens of thousands of youth and young adults annually.
Based on a program that we piloted with the 100 Organization in Atlanta, we hosted workshops in five of our markets. Cox employees shared insights with students on a variety of important skills, such as enhancing leadership, career readiness skills, business etiquette, public speaking, and securing internships and employment.
